The game consists of 42 story cards and a few others storing parameters. The story was started with my experience during the dérive, feeling dizzy and tire at 5am in the morning and could not tell if it is a dream or not.
The game used Googlism A LOT in many item descriptions, including the mug, laptop, and many more. Travesty Generator is used to generate the junk mail from the output of Googlism. N+7 is used to generate a funny description of zoom, also with the output of Googlism. I talked with some friends who have 5am class or just have something to say about the online college education, and their answers were recorded and put into otterAI for the transcripts. The game also includes some paragraphs from the Botnik predictive writer, about the zoom link. The anagram generator also produced over 240 names for the professor in the game.
Oblique Strategies: "1. Look at the order in which you do things" - look into my own and my friends' schedules, and started the game design. "2. Don't break the silence" - This card inspired my to add sound effects in some cards, but not all. "3. Cut a vital connection" - when writing about the endings, I almost cut all the connections from the previous story, and go with a horror-story style. "4. Reverse" - inspired me to make the story into a loop. "5. Accept advice" - after finished the first version, I shared the game with few of my friends, and get some advice from them.
